Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the restraining function of a seat belt by giving a required slackening quantity in accordance with a car speed. CONSTITUTION:A motor 25 which rotates a winding shaft 2 in a belt-delivering direction, and a tensionless mechanism 17 for checking the rotation of the wind ing shaft 2 in the belt-winding direction, are controlled by a slack-giving output means 30b, to carry out slackening control in accordance with a car speed. That is, a car speed which is sensed by a sensing means 34 is judged whether it is a defined car speed or not by a judging means 30c. Then, a time-difference output means 30d outputs a signal to a reference position determining means 30a so as to determine the reference position earlier when the car speed is lower than the defined car speed, while to determine the reference position later when the car speed is above the defined speed Thereupon, the reference position determining means 30a determines the reference position of a worn belt within a certain time and outputs the result to the slack-giving output means 30b. Accordingly, the determining time is differentiated in accordance with a car speed to determine the reference position of the worn belt, thereby, giving a proper slacking quantity.
