Abstract:
To provide a self-driving car and a control method thereof that can drive independently over heavy traffic routes and carry objects or people, even on rough surfaces, while ensuring the safety of vehicles and the safety of an open road.SOLUTION: An in-vehicle camera adjustment system includes at least one variable pitch camera for generating an image used for a computer vision to control a self-driving car, and in order to maximize the sharpness and/or resolution of the camera image as the self-driving car moves, the pitch of the variable pitch camera is changed. The variable-pitch camera then detects lanes, pedestrians, three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction of the environment, and/or depressions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
