Title:
SEMICONDUCTOR VIBRATION SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04204332
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To intend a smaller size, the extension of a signal transfer distance and the connection to a control system by providing a light transmissive container, which has a metal ball housed inside and is bottomed in a conical shape, between a semiconductor light emitting element and a light receiving element which are arranged on the same light axis. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting element 1 and a light receiving element 2 which have time same optical axis 10 and the emitting plane and the receiving plane opposed to each other are housed and fixed in a housing case 3, and a resin light transmissive container 5 which is bottomed in a conical shape is arranged between the elements 1, 2. At the bottom of the container 5 a metal ball 4 is placed in a movable manner. When no vibration occurs, no photoelectric current flows into the element 2 because of the light-shielding metal ball 4 on the optical axis of the elements 1, 2, but when vibration is given the metal ball 4 shielding light is moved to allow the entry of light to the element 2, so that a photoelectric current flows thereinto to allow vibration detection. Detected vibration can be varied in strength by changing the size of the metal ball 4 and the inclination of the bottom of the container 5.
