To provide a sensor capable of solving the problem of deviation between an axis of a sensor element and that of an insertion hole of a separator, when inserting the sensor element into the separator.
The sensor 1 includes the sensor element 10, that has a detection section 10a at a tip side and forms an electrode demount section 10e at the rear end; a cylindrical main metal fitting 2 for allowing the detection section to project to the tip side and surrounding the outer-periphery surface of the sensor element; a cylindrical separator 70, that surrounds the electrode demount section and is separated from the main metal fitting; a cylindrical outer cylinder 90, that is separated from the separator and covers the separator and is connected to the main metal fitting; and a support member 90a disposed between the outer cylinder and the separator.
