Title:
SHAFT INTEGRAL TYPE GEAR MADE OF COPPER @(3754/24)CU) ALLOY MEMBER AND DISSIMILAR METAL SHAFT MEMBER AND ITS MANUFACTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06109101
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To connect gear-cut portions to a shaft member for a short period and obtain a shaft integral type bearing of high strength connection of both members by frictionally pressing the gear-cut portions of specified copper (Cu) alloy against the shaft member of dissimilar metal thereto.

CONSTITUTION: A shaft integral type gear is constituted by frictionally pressing a specified Cu alloy 1, which forms gear-cut portions, against a shaft member 4 of dissimilar metal thereto. The specified Cu apply 1 includes Al of 0.5 to 12wt.%, Si of 0.45 to 3wt.%, Mn of 1.5 to 5.5wt.%, Fe of not more than 5wt.%, and remainder actually made of Cu. In the Cu alloy 1, intermetallic compound of Mn and Si or intermetallic compound of Fe and Si is diffused. The Cu alloy 1 forming the gear-cut portions is connected to the shaft member 4 for a short period, and at the same time these connection strength is improved.
