PURPOSE: To obtain a noncopiable sheet having good printability and drawability by forming a coating layer contg. many microcapsules contg. the soln. of a photochromic material by an org. solvent on at least one surface of a sheet-like base body.
CONSTITUTION: This recording material 1 consists of the sheet-like base body 2 and the coating layer 3 formed on one surface thereof. The coating layer 3 consists of the many micricapsules 4 and a binder 5 which binds the microcapsules. Each of the microcapsules 4 consists of a wall material 6 and a photochromic material soln. 7 sealed therein. This sheet-like recording material allows direct recording of images when the material is irradiated with the laser beam of a laser printer. The microcapsules of the non-image part irradiated with light radiate latent image-forming rays when this sheet as an original is copied with a copying machine of an electropohotographic system. The copy, therefore, forms a black color over the entire surface and is illegible.
