To provide an operating mechanism of a warning device that operates the warning device only by removing or lifting the warning device from a support body to come to the ready in case of emergency, and can easily and rapidly stop the warning device when the warning device accidentally erroneously operates at a normal time.
A movable piece 18 is vertically movably attached to a plate-like shield body 2, and a displacement sensor 7 for detecting a displacement of the movable piece 18 and the warning device 5 to be turned on or off by the sensor 7 is installed in a lower part of the shield body 2. The movable piece 18 is held at an upper position when the shield body 2 is sustained independently by the support body 6a, or is lowered to a lower position due to its weight when the shield body 2 is raised. The warning device 5 is turned off when the sensor 7 detects the upper position of the movable piece 18, or is turned on when the sensor 7 detects the lower position of the movable piece 18.
