Abstract:
To provide a technology which can make a working fluid visually leak from the outside of a shock absorber when a leak quantity of the working fluid becomes large while suppressing the visual confirmation of the working fluid from the outside of the shock absorber when a small quantity of the working fluid leaks.SOLUTION: A shock absorber comprises: a cylinder for accommodating a working fluid; a rod which is arranged in the cylinder in a state that a part of the rod is exposed from an upper end of the cylinder, and whose portion which is exposed by relatively moving to the cylinder is telescopic; and a cap for covering the upper end of the cylinder, and an external peripheral face of the vicinity of the upper end, and having an opening in which the rod passes. The cap comprises a groove which is formed between a face of the cap at the cylinder side and the cylinder.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
