To provide a side forward visually confirming mirror which is fitted to the assistant driver's seat side of an automobile to enable a driver to visually confirm the traffic situation in front of the assistant driver's seat side and which can be used both for right and left handle vehicles and also provide a support method therefor, by which the mirror device can be installed in such a position not to obstruct the driver's field of view.

One end of a first link is fitted to a support shaft 3 in such a manner as to turn on the shaft, and a first mirror 1 is fixed to the support shaft 3. A second mirror 2 is fitted to a joint shaft between the first and second links. Further, one end of the second link is temporarily stopped to a fixed part of a support plate by a screw or the like. A flexible arm 11 is installed on the support shaft 3 in such a manner as to turn on the shaft. A suction cup 13 is fitted to the terminal end of a rod 12 connected to the flexible arm 11.
