Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen the influence that code inversion periods right after or just before the shortest code conversion interval exert.
SOLUTION: The shortest code conversion intervals when the code word strings formed by directly coupling the front and rear code words subjected to NRZI conversion are limited to d+1 channel bit and k+1 channel bit (d and k are both positive integers), encoding is so executed that the inversion intervals of the code words just before or right after the code words generated by the shortest code conversion intervals of the d+1 channel bit are shorter than the k+1 channel bit.
