Title:
SIGNAL PROCESSING CIRCUIT NETWORK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0581229
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the general use and processing performance of a signal processing circuit network without restricting a digital signal obtained from each neuron only to pulse density expression by providing the network with a selection output circuit.

CONSTITUTION: A unit output 26 from each nerve cell simulation unit is outputted as a pulse string, a count-off output is regarded as a network output until a count value of pulse strings reaches a previously set value N, and after reaching the prescribed value N, a count-on output is regarded as the network output. A counter 37 counts the number of pulses in the unit output 26 and sends the counted result to a comparator 38 as a binary value. The comparator 38 compares the prescribed value N set up in a memory 40 with the count value (n) of the counter 37, '0' is outputted as a comparison output in the case of n≤N, or '1' is outputted in the case of n>N. A selection circuit 42 selects and outputs a memory 43 storing the count-off output or a memory 44 storing the count-on output in accordance with the output 41.
