In this simulation method of the asynchronous automaton indicating a state of the cellular automaton in a state of a cell displayed on an image plane, a transition rule of the cellular automaton for transiting the state of the cell is held in a memory, the display image plane is divided into a plurality of cells, a state of each cell is coordinated, the cells are arbitrarily selected, the state of the selected cell is determined in accordance with the transition rule, and the state of the cell is displayed on the image plane to simulate the change of the state of the cellular automaton by a computing unit.
