Title:
SINGLE AMINO ACID MUTATED PROTEIN OF HISTONE H3, ITS MUTANT CELL AND USE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3868985
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new yeast cell strain having a new acquired character without directly operating a gene encoded by a genom DNA or its transcription product by introducing a single amino acid mutation to histone H3 or H4 and provide the use of the strain.
SOLUTION: The invention relates to a mutant yeast cell expressing a mutant histone H3 protein or histone H4 protein having a specific single amino acid residue substituted with alanine residue, a mutant histone protein of the cell, a polynucleotide encoding the mutant protein and a method for using the cell, protein and polynucleotide.
