Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce vibration, noise, and power consumption of a single-phase motor.
SOLUTION: The single-phase motor driving device, having a first driving transistor supplying a drive current in one direction to a single-phase coil and a second driving transistor supplying a drive current in a reverse direction to the single-phase coil, is characterized by providing a comparing means for comparing a level with a reference value of a sinusoidal wave signal from a Hall element detecting a rotational position of the single-phase motor to generate a timing signal in a prescribed period over just before/after a point with a direction switched to change of the drive current of the single-phase coil, and by providing a regenerating means for regenerating the drive current by controlling on/off timing of the first/second driving transistor in a prescribed period generating the timing signal within a period turning on the first/second driving transistor in a side of allowing the drive current to flow out from the single-phase coil in a manner wherein the first/second driving transistor in a side of allowing the drive current to flow in to the single-phase coil is respectively turned on in a period shorter than the concerned period.
