Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a sintered body imparting conductivity to a silicon negative electrode and also improved in mechanical characteristics, and capable of manufacturing an inexpensive and long-life lithium ion battery at a high efficiency; and a method for producing the sintered body.SOLUTION: Silicon powder is mixed with copper powder to be pressed and heated, and thereby a conductive network due to copper (12) having a porous structure around a silicon particle 10 is formed. Or, silicon powder is mixed with carbon fibers 32, tubes, fullerenes, graphite or carbon-based fine particles to be sintered, and thereby a conductive network having a porous structure including pores 15 is formed.
