To control deformation in and damage to a packing associated with the opening and closing of a sliding door and prevent a packing mounting part from coming into contact with an external object and interfering with the opening and closing.

The sliding door device, provided with a guide rail 3 arranged horizontally on the upper side of the opening 2 of a storage body 1, a door body 5 which opens and closes the opening, a suspension wheel 7 attached at the top of the door body, and brought into engagement with the guide rail so that it can travel by rolling, and a packing 9 attached at the lower end of the door body in a state where it hangs, and brought into contact with the floor surface F, is provided with a horizontally fixed piece 82 fixed on the lower end surface of the door body, a packing receiving member 80 which has an upper vertical piece 83 additionally provided on the storage-body side of the door body, and a lower vertical piece 84 which hangs from the lower end of the upper vertical piece 83, and a packing pressing member 90 which holds the gap packing between the upper vertical piece and the lower vertical piece of the packing receiving member, and a fixing screw 91 which penetrates the packing pressing member, the packing, and the packing receiving member, and fixes them on the door body.
