To provide a slurry concentration measuring apparatus which hinders effect from the fluidity of solid particles in a slurry with a simple structure by eliminating the blocking of the stream of the slurry.
In the slurry concentration measuring apparatus, an ultrasonic sensor fixing part 57 which has a pair of an ultrasonic transmitting element 53 and an ultrasonic receiving element 54 facing each other sandwiching the pipe shaft of the pipe 55 and rotates concentrically with the pipe 55 is provided on the outer circumference part of the pipe 55 for conveying an ice water slurry. Ultrasonic waves which are transmitted from the transmitting element 53 at a plurality of positions on the circumference of the pipe 55 and pass through the pipe 55 and the ice water slurry therein are received by the receiving element to detect the attenuations thereof at the respective positions. An arithmetic part 14 is provided and the attenuations of the ultrasonic waves received and the concentration of ice are previously calibrated to allow indirect estimation of the concentration of the ice in transit within the pipe 55.
