PURPOSE: To improve a recognition rate by inputting information on a card as a picture, automatically recognizing the character of the. inputted picture, converting it into a code and making it into a data base.

CONSTITUTION: When a cover 102 is judged to be closed, the input of the picture of the card 104 installed at the back of the cover 102 is started. There is a transparent card holder 103 at the back of the cover 102, and the card 104 can easily be fixed. A picture input part 107 installed under the key 106 of a mainbody inputs picture information on the card 104 fixed by the card holder 104. Thus, the card 104 is fixed at the back of the cover 102 and the cover 102 is closed. Thus, the picture of the card 104 is automatically read and recognized and information on the card 104 is registered as data converted into the code. Thus, a trouble for inputting information on the card 104 is eliminated later and the recognition rate improves.
