To provide a compact electric vehicle capable of preventing a bad influence to alignment of rear wheels even if a rear bumper is deformed by a collision of an obstacle and capable of protecting an electric motor of a power unit from the obstacle with the rear bumper.
The compact electric vehicle is provided with vehicle seats 6 and the power unit 5 structured of an electric motor 53 and a reduction gear 62, and a vehicle body frame 1 for supporting a pair of rear wheels 2r and 2r on both sides in right and left of the power unit 5 is provided with the rear bumper 86 projecting rearward of the rear wheels 2r and 2r. The electric motor 53 is arranged on the reduction gear 62, and the rear bumper 86 is structured of a pair of side surface guard parts 86a and 86a in right and left fixed to the vehicle body frame 1 under the seat 6 in the front end parts thereof and extended obliquely rearward opposite to both the right and left side surfaces of the electric motor 53 and a rear surface guard 86b opposite to the rear surface of the electric motor 53, while integrally connecting the rear end parts of the side surface guard parts.
