To provide a small size electronic device which can remarkably reduces noise from a noise source such as a rotating recording medium drive or an air cooling fan and realizes outstanding improvement in voice quality (S/N ratio).

This electronic device picks up a noise signal generated by a disc drive such as HDD, FDD, CD-ROM, DVD, etc., with an exclusive microphone 22, amplifies such noise signal. with an amplifier 25a in the inverse phase from that of the amplifier 24a of a sound amplifying section, mixes the noise signal with an output from the amplifier 24a of the noise amplifying section and then eliminates such noise signal included in the voice input signal of the microphone 21 amplified by the amplifier 24a. Thereby, even when the disc drive has a small size cabinet structure which must be arranged near the voice input microphone 21, noise signal generated by the disc drive can surely be eliminated to amplify and output the high quality voice signal.
