PURPOSE: To make a socket spanner usable with a plurality of nuts or bolt heads of different sizes.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical roller-holding case 13 is rotatably provided around the outer periphery of a socket main body portion 12. Six roller fixing pins 14, for example, are mounted on the end face of the socket main body portion 12. A movable eccentric roller 15 is rotatably attached to each roller fixing pin 14. A projection 13a is formed on the inner surface of the roller holding case 13 for every movable eccentric roller 15. When the roller holding case 13 is rotated in the direction of the arrow, the portion 15a of the movable eccentric roller 15 opposite to the roller fixing pin 14 gets on the projection 13a and moves toward the center of the socket. Therefore, the size of a socket type flange formed by the six movable eccentric rollers 15 is reduced. Adjustment to a certain socket size is made possible by adjustment of the amount by which the roller holding case 13 rotates.
