Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid catalyst component and a catalyst which can produce a propylene block copolymer excellent in rigidity and impact resistance.
SOLUTION: The solid catalyst for olefin polymerization contains a magnesium, titanium and halogen. It has an average particle size 1-100 μm, a specific surface area of 100-500 m2/g, a pore volume less than 0.3 ml/g and a pore distribution having a cumulative pore volume with a pore diameter of ≤100 &angst larger than 50%. The catalyst for olefin polymerization comprises an organoaluminum compound and an organosilicon compound.
