This solid electrolyte fuel cell has stacked structure interposing a solid electrolyte layer 3 between an upper electrode layer 4 and a lower electrode layer 5. A process for forming the lower electrode layer 5, a process for forming the solid electrolyte membrane 3, and a process for forming the upper electrode layer 4 are arranged, and when at least one of the lower and upper electrode layers 5, 4 is formed, a material removable in a tail-end process is contained, and after the layer is formed, the contained material is removed in the tail-end process to make the electrode layers 4, 5 porous.
