PURPOSE: To secure an equal effect to the sound spread in a large space by providing the sound absorber material at the fixed position in a small room to absorb the initial reflected sound, installing the speaker to generate the initial reflection sound independently from the main speaker and thus generating the reflection sound in accordance with the listener's position.

CONSTITUTION: Main speakers 11L and 11R are provided symmetrically with an appropriate space between and in front of small room 1, and the carpet functioning as sound absorbing means 12 is provided at the listener's side to speakers 11L and 11R. At the same time, sound absorbing means 13L, 13R and 13C made of the glass wool or the like are distributed on the wall and the ceiling to reflect initial reflection sound groups 5L and 5R in order to prevent groups 5L and 5R from reaching listener's positions 5a and 5b. Furthermore, service speakers 14L, 14R and 14C are provided to means 13L, 13R and 13C respectively in the range of about 55° ±20° to the line connecting the virtual sound source of 11L and 11R and listener's position 15a. Thus the reflection sound given from the signal source is delayed by the fixed time to generate the pseudo reflection sound.
