Abstract:
The present invention provides a spun yarn having adequate slipperiness and tension. The spun yarn contains a synthetic fiber, wherein the content of the synthetic fiber is 50 mass% or more with respect to 100 mass% of the spun yarn, the distribution of the fiber width, perpendicular to the fiber axis direction, of monofilaments constituting the synthetic fiber is unimodal, and in a 2σ section, the difference between the maximum and minimum values of the fiber width of the synthetic fiber is 7-30 µm. The 2σ section is a numerical range of the fiber width in the unimodal distribution of the fiber width, where said numerical range corresponds to all fiber width measurement data excluding measurement data above the 97.5th percentile of fiber width and below the 2.5th percentile of fiber width.
