To provide a hybrid type damping device for suppressing quake of a multistory building due to wind in which in particular, the electric power required for its actuator can be provided by a self-generation by a windmill.
At the upper part of a multistory building 2 is provided a hybrid type damping device including a dynamic vibration absorber 1 which suppresses quake of the building 2 due to wind, and a wind power generation device composed of a windmill 13, a generator 12 and a battery 11 is provided for supplying electric power to an electric actuator which matches the natural frequency of a weight 6 with that of the building 2. Thereby, only when the wind blows requiring the operation of the actuator 5, power generation is timely effected to provide a required electric power so that a special electric power contract or electrical work for obtaining an outside electric power is necessary.
