Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve rate of work and uniformity of attached resin amount after drying by spraying a synthetic resin emulsion through a nozzle capable of freely controlling oscillating width and moving rate in the width direction by AC servomotor connected to a controller onto a fiber web 5 in running.

CONSTITUTION: In a spray traverse apparatus 1 spraying a synthetic resin emulsion 6 through at least one nozzle 3 reciprocatable in the direction of width onto a fiber web 5 in running, AC servomotor 2 as a driving source of the reciprocating movement of the nozzle 3 is subjected to driving control based on output signal from a motor control part 4 to constitute the apparatus 1 so as to be freely able to change oscillating width and the moving rate of the fiber web 5 in the with direction. In spraying the synthetic resin emulsion 6 such as binder, oscillating width of the nozzle 3 is changed according to the width of the fiber web 5 and simultaneously a nozzle 3 is reciprocated at a fast rate in both end part of the fiber web 5 and at a slow rate in the central part to avoid unevenness of attachment due to difference of thermal shrinkage between the central part and both end parts of the web 5 and produced in drying.
