Abstract:
PURPOSE: To rationalize working process and improve reliable performance by forming the case and cap of a battery from a metal plate whose single surface or double surface is coated with a resin film, and conducting airtight sealing by double winding fastening or press method.
CONSTITUTION: A battery case 1 and a battery case cap plate 2 are manufactured by drawing a steel plate 0.22mm thick both surfaces of which are coated with a 10μm polypropylene film 3 after chromic acid treatment. An inner packing film is a transparent one containing no additive, and an outer packing film is white so that battery name, capacity, and voltage can be printed in the following process. A positive electrode plate obtained by applying an active material mainly containing lithium manganese spinel and a negative electrode plate obtained by applying an active material mainly containing artificial graphite are used as an electrode group, and after an electrolyte having lithium phosphate hexafluoride as a solvent is injected, sealing is conducted by double winding fastening method to form a square lithium secondary battery.
