Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide good connection of movable contact and fixed contact of a starter motor contactor for an internal combustion engine and to solve the problems generated by deposit of dirt particles into the contactor.
CONSTITUTION: A cap 34 having two fixed contacts 36, 38 for transmitting electricity to a starter motor, and a movable core 12 actuated by a solenoid core 18 are provided. The movable core 12 displaces a movable contact 30 axially into engagement with the fixed contacts 36, 38. The movable contact 30 has a recess 50, the recess 50 is in facing relationship to at least one of the fixed contacts 36, 38, and there are three-point contact between the movable contact 30 and the fixed contacts 36, 38.
