Abstract:
To provide a steering control device capable of suppressing discomfort from being transmitted to a driver.SOLUTION: A steering control device controls a steering device that has a turning mechanism with a turning motor which generates power for moving a turning shaft so as to turn the turning object wheels of a vehicle. The steering control device has a turning side control part which calculates a target pinion angle θp* that is a control amount of the turning motor. The turning side control part includes an offset compensation calculator 68 which makes a compensation so as to shift the target pinion angle θp* as of after start-up toward a side of reducing a motor torque generated by the turning motor. Further, the offset compensation calculator 68 is provided with: an offset amount acquiring unit 71 which acquires an offset basic amount θofstb that is a basic amount of the offset amount θofst in a first cycle after start-up; and an offset amount gradually changing unit 73 which changes the offset amount θofst so that it gradually decreases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
