Abstract:

To provide a structure and a method for semi-automatically connecting an excavating rod, which make the excavating rod automatically coupled to an excavator side by screwing, and which make the excavating rods coupled together by fitting a joint and inserting a pin in the addition of another excavation rod.

In joint structures which are provided at both ends of the excavating rod, one end serves as a coupling shaft part so that another excavating rod can be added; the other end serves as a supporting part with a recess into which the coupling shaft part is to be fitted; the coupling shaft part and the recess are set to have a polygonal cross section; a screw part is provided in the coupling shaft part; a driving shaft of the excavator is provided with a screw supporting part into which the coupling shaft part is to be fitted and into which the screw part is to be screwed; a driving rod is rotated by the rotation of a driving head, so that screw tightening can be automatically performed; and when the coupling shaft part is fitted into the recess of the receiving part, the pin is passed through a fitting part, so as to be latched to the upper excavating rod.
