CONSTITUTION: Workpiece supporting protrusions 7b on the inside of a pad 7 are formed in proximity to an air hole 7a, so that there is no conventional annular part existing between the air hole 7a and the workpiece supporting protrusions 7b. This results in positively solving the problem of suction release failure caused by the hanging of the annular part, and workpieces can be sucked and released satisfactorily over a long period of time.
