PURPOSE: To improve the lubrication processing efficiency with a continuous flow of work by setting the function parts of each process related to the lubrication processing into a single device in the order of manufacturing processes and then feeding successively the magnetic disk medium to each function part.
CONSTITUTION: A shift stage 7 is disposed between a processing part 3 and a disk loading/unloading part 4, and a medium A is provided on a rotary drive mechanism 6 set opposite to the part 4. Then the stage 7 is shifted between a loading/unloading part 1 and a processing part 2, and a medium B is put on a rotary drive mechanism 5 set opposite to the part 1. The medium A on the part 6 is heated at the part 2 by a heating means 8 consisting of an electromagnetic induction heater, etc., and a lubricant is applied by a lubricant coating means 9. Then the stage 7 is shifted between the parts 2 and 3, and the surplus lubricant of the medium A on the mechanism 6 is heated at the part 3 by a heating means 10. At the same time, the surplus lubricant is removed by a surplus lubricant removing means 11. While a lubricant is coated on the medium B on the mechanism 5 like the medium A. Thus the medium A on the mechanism 6 is cooled at the part 4 and removed as a finished product. At the same time, an unprocessed medium C is set on the mechanism 6.
