To provide a new surface modification method of a solid product that uses an oxygen-containing organic compound different from a conventional inorganic surface modifier, in the surface modification method of a solid product for improving wettability of the surface to be treated by blowing combustion flame of fuel gas including a thermally-decomposable surface modifier against the surface (surface to be treated) of a solid product.
A surface modification method of a solid product is provided, which includes blowing combustion flame of fuel gas including the thermally-degradable surface modifier (wettability improver) against the surface (surface to be treated) of a solid product. As the surface modifier, one or two or more are selected from the group of oxygen-containing organic compound which comprises carbon (C), hydrogen (H), and oxygen (O) and includes a carbon having two or more ether structures (-O-) or a carbon to which two or more C=O groups (including a carboxy group and a derived group thereof) are bonded.
