CONSTITUTION: Suction nozzles 22 are provided to the head unit 5 of a surface- mounting equipment, and a part recognition unit composed of a laser generating section 31 and a photodetective section 32 is provided, wherein the laser generating section 31 and the photodetective section 32 are provided in a range corresponding to the range where the suction nozzles 22 are provided, and the photodetective section 32 is divided into line sensors 32a to 32d. Parts 35 sucked by the suction nozzles 22 respectively are positioned between an irradiation section and a photodetective section, the suction nozzles 22 are rotated, and the parts 35 sucked by the suction nozzles 22 are recognized at the same time by signals sent from the line sensors 32a to 32d.
