To provide a surgical ablation apparatus simply operated, adjusting a suction quantity without deteriorating the ablation efficiency and having a simple constitution.
This surgical ablation apparatus 2 is provided with an ablation instrument 38 rotatingly operating a narrow and long probe 40 and ablating a biotissue by a blade part 58 provided in the tip part of the probe 40; and suction means 72, 80 and 84 sucking a suction passage 48 formed in the ablation instrument 38, drawing the biotissue into the blade part 58 and sucking the ablated tissue. The suction means 72, 80 and 84 are provided with suction control means 72 operating the suction means 72, 80 and 84 when operating the blade part 58, controlling a ratio of the sucking time to the operating time of the suction means 72, 80 and 84 and controlling the suction quantity by the suction means 72, 80 and 84.
