This modified cross-section suture is composed of the biocompatible thermoplastic resin, consists of a single yarn whose cross section has two or more constricted parts and has a flat cross section with the flatness of 2-5. This surgical suture has the superior tensile strength and flexibility and has the favorable handling property.
