Abstract:
PURPOSE:To heighten the stiffness of one arm for the vibration in the longitudinal direction of a car body by attaching a damper both ends of which are connected to suspension arms, which gives damping force to the longitudinal movement of a wheel. CONSTITUTION:A knuckle 10 which a right front wheel 8 is attached to is supported by an end of a suspension lower arm 12 and an end of a compression rod 30 is connected to the lower arm 12. In this structure, the other end of the rod 30 is connected to an end of a link 36 the other end of which is connected to the projecting part 12c of the lower arm 12 and which extends in the longitudinal direction. A damping force generating part 38 which gives damping force to the longitudinal movement against the car body of the link 36 is arranged. And the damping force generating part 38 is controlled by driving an actuator 48 by a control unit 60 according to each detective signal of a car speed sensor 62 or a manual switch 64.
