PURPOSE: To improve a feeling to ride by suppressing transmission to a car body of vibration and generation of noise in a total oscillation frequency region containing in the vicinity of a resonance point of each mass, in the case that a suspension device is oscillated by irregularity of a road surface.

CONSTITUTION: A damping force generating means 4 mounted through a mounting insulator 7 between sprung mass 1 and unsprung mass 2, acceleration detecting means 8 mounted onto a sprung mounting part mass 6 of the damping force generating means 4 to detect vibration acceleration of the springing mounting part mass 6 and a controller 9 for arithmetically processing the vibration acceleration, detected by the acceleration detecting means 8, and outputting a control force command for suppressing vibration of the sprung mounting part mass 6 are provided. A control command corresponding to the control command of a control force generating means 10 acts on the above-mentioned sprung mounting part mass 6 based on the control command from the controller 9.
