Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a suspension system having a low profile.

CONSTITUTION: A suspension system includes a load beam 102 for connecting a transducer element to a supporting means. The load beam 102 has a reinforcing member 106 forming a surrounding inner chamber 192. The reinforcing member 106 imparts the rigidity to a suspension 32. The transducer element is coupled to the load beam 102 by a pivot assembly. The pivot assembly includes plural thin plate members piled together to each other. Thus, the suspension system of low profile is constituted.
