Title:
SUSPENSION FOR VEHICLE PROVIDED WITH 4-WHEEL-STEERING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63251311
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate optimal tuning of stability under high speed running by making lateral rigidity higher than that for a vehicle provided with 2-wheel- steering device. CONSTITUTION:A front wheel suspension comprises a sub-frame 70 constituted with a pair of longitudinal members 71, a lateral member 72 and a coupling member 73, where the sub-frame 70 supports an engine and the front suspension. Right and left A-type lower arms 32, 32 are fixed rollably up and down to the longitudinal member 71 through a resilient bush. By such arrangement, lateral rigidity of the front suspension is increased by means of the coupling member 73, and thereby strength against lateral force being applied onto the front wheel when the rear wheel is steered can be improved while simultaneously best tuning can be easily made.
