Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the reduction of the engine output by making larger the thickness of a valve plate part at the side an opening for generating a swirl is not provided, at one side of a valve shaft, so as to reduce the increase in the suction resistance at the full opening condition of a swirl control valve when the swirl controllable scope is widened.
CONSTITUTION: An opening 6 is provided on one side of a valve plate part 5 at the thin side, to a valve plate part 3 at the thick side, and a bending part 8 bent to the rear side in the valve opening rotating direction is formed on the other side. Even though the valve plate part 3 is made thinner and it is started to open, the bending part 8 reduces the clearance of a duct and a swirl is maintained, and the projected area of a valve plate 1 at the full opening condition is reduced, so as to secure the suction air amount in a high load operation area.
