Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion device for a luggage loading space in a vehicle, capable of sufficiently loading bulky luggages by expanding a luggage loading space up to a glass portion at the upper end of a mid-gate.
SOLUTION: The expansion device comprises glass fixed to a loop panel portion, holding means provided between the upper end of the glass and the loop panel for fixing the glass, the mid-gate forming a dead space filled with a shock absorbing member so as to pull the glass therein, and turning means supported fixedly to the lower end of the mid-gate through a body panel for establishing hinge-motion so as to deflect the mid-gate into a vehicle room.
