Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for tracing a distributable software application.
SOLUTION: A first identification code to be prepared and downloaded when a user performs access to a web server and a second specific install code to be automatically prepared when the software application is integrated into the computer of the user and a tracking assistant are used for monitoring the operation and distribution of a software application. The first identification code and the other registered data are stored in a data base connected to a web server. A tracking assistant module automatically transmits both the codes through a network to a data base according to a prescribed schedule.
