PURPOSE: To obtain an inexpensive tabletlike agricultural chemical composition capable of foaming and disintegrating in water by using a specific water-soluble binder and including an agricultural physiologically active substance, a surfactant, a water-soluble solid acidic substance and a carbonate of an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal.
CONSTITUTION: A tabletlike agricultural chemical composition is obtained by mixing an agricultural physiologically active substance such as a germicide, an insecticide, a herbicide or a plant growth regulator with a surfactant such as an alkylbezenesulfonate, carbonate of an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal and, as necessary, adding a carrier, etc., thereto, homogeneously mixing the aforementioned substances, then finely pulverizing the resultant mixture, adding powder of a water-soluble binder having ≥40°C melting point while heating and mixing the prepared mixture or melting the aforementioned water- soluble binder having i40°C melting point, spraying the obtained melt from a nozzle on the heated mixture of other ingredients, cooling the prepared mixture, preparing a granulated mixture, sieving the granulated mixture, producing granules, adding a lubricant thereto, providing granules for tableting, filling the granules in a hopper for a tableting machine and producing tablets.
