Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape guide mechanism which can reduce manufacturing cost than heretofore without reducing precision of a tape travelling path in a tape recorder such as VTR(video tape recorder).
SOLUTION: In this tape recorder, a fixed guide member 5 provided with a tape guiding surface 54 with which a lower side end edge of a chassis 1 side is to be slid among a pair of side end edges holding the main surface of a magnetic tape 10 therebetween is arranged at the tape travelling path between a tension post 43 and a whole width erasing head 21. The fixed guide member 5 regulates height position in a width direction of the magnetic tape 10 by catching the lower side end edge of the magnetic tape 10 by the tape guide surface 54 while keeping noncontact with the main surface of the magnetic tape 10.
