PURPOSE: To effectively produce a tape wire having a plurality of branches of different lengths by sticking a reinforcing plate to the ends of a plurality of cables formed in a continuous and long form with the positions of those ends being aligned while the cables are individually fed.
CONSTITUTION: One set of branched cables 10A, 10B are positioned in both length and width directions and both longs cables 20A, and 20B are fed by an equal distance by means of feeding rolles 21A, 21B are the terminal part positions the cables in a reinforcing plate sticking position in a press device 25. The device 25 sticks and fixes a reinforcing plate 11 in the prescribed positions on the respective cables 10A and 10B. The integrated long cables 20A and 20B pass through a slitter 27, whereby the ear parts of the insulating sheets 14A, 14B or the ear parts of the reinforcing plates 11 are cut off, further the cables are taken up by a taking-up rolls 26 up to a position, where a position distance from the rear ends of the sheets 14A, 14B by a prescribed distance is positioned in cutters 28 and the cutters 28 are made to cross at this position in order to obtain tape wires having different lengths of the branched cables 10A and 10B.
