To provide a liposome applicable to the medical/pharmaceutical fields including pharmaceutical preparations and cosmetics, and usable as a therapeutic drug delivery system or a diagnostic cell/tissue sensing probe for locally delivering a drug or a gene to affected parts by recognizing a target cell/tissue such as cancer.

This liposome is produced by binding tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane to a liposome film in a sugar-modified liposome having a sugar chain bonded to a liposome through a linker protein, thereby hydrophilicizing the surface of the liposome lipid film. The liposome has excellent long-term preservability and in-vivo stability.
