Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simplify the circuit constitution by connecting a holding tone sending circuit to a trunk line between its own telephone set and an opposite telephone set via a switch means interlocking with the holding operation and sending a holding tone to the opposite party and its own side. CONSTITUTION:A holding tone sending circuit 1 connects to a trunk line L via a switch means 3 set at holding. Then the holding operation is detected by a holding operation detection circuit 4 and the switch means 3 is turned on, then the circuit 1 is energized by the trunk line L and activated to send a holding tone and a resistor is connected between the trunk lines L in the holding tone sending circuit 1 to apply trunk line holding. When the holding operation detection circuit 4 detects the holding release operation, the switch means 3 is turned off to disconnect the holding tone sending circuit 1 thereby releasing the holding. Thus, the holding tone is energized even by its own telephone set T0 without the provision of the holding tone sending circuit for its own telephone set T0 and the circuit constitution is simplified.
