PURPOSE: To make it possible to ensure a reliability with a minimum test time, by providing a means for conveying sheets adapted to be used to test a means for accumulating sheets such as bank notes or the like, under a specified conveying condition, and by confirming the condition of sheets accumulated by the conveying means.

CONSTITUTION: When the bank note accumulating capacity of a machine 4 is tested, a test control section 13 in a control machine 3 feeds out a bank note from a bank note separating device 1 in a normal condition. It is conformed whether the bank notes are normally accumulated or not, with the use of a sensor in the test control section 13, which sensor detects a bank notes jumping out, and also by a visual check. Then, a separating device 1 on a rotary bed 12 is rotated to convey the bank notes which are inclined, and it is confirmed that they are normally accumulated. Further, the intervals of bank notes are changed for confirmation by changing the rotational speed of a motor 10. Further, a sensor 6 which is controlled by a sensor controlling section 15 checks whether the conveying condition satisfies a set term or not, and a sensor 9 checks the term of pay-out, the result of the checks being displayed on a screen 35, and if an abnormality is detected, it is remedied. Thereby it is possible to ensure a suitable reliability.
